Is Anxiety getting in the way?

  • Are you constantly thinking of the worst case scenario?

  • Do you get stuck thinking about what to do and how to be most effective without ever taking action?

  • Do you overthink every social interaction you have?

If any of this resonates with you, I’m sure you are exhausted of thinking. With ERP therapy for anxiety you can start to understand how your brain is sending you consistent false alarms that are keeping you stuck in trying to problem solve when there is nothing to solve.

Your brain is playing tricks on you and it doesn't have to stay this way

If you have ever experienced anxiety you will know how time consuming and crippling it can be. (insert stat about anxiety). Anxiety is rooted in real life problems and concerns related to social life, work, school, finances, maybe even driving. It does not allow you to feel confident navigating various situations because it robs you of the credit you deserve whenever you do the hard thing. It moves right on to the next problem and tries to figure out how to solve it.

You’ll continue to do all the things and get more and more exhausted as you go. You may not understand why it has to feel this hard each time. What you don't realize is how anxiety is being reinforced through each experience. Going to therapy for anxiety helps you disrupt this pattern by increasing your understanding of the brain, how the body receives information, and how to start challenging thoughts instead of believing them.

What to Expect in Session

We will start to understand what your brain attaches to and why. Increasing the understanding of your thought process is important to learn what feels threatening and what story your brain tells you to convince you of this threat. We will use assessments to keep track of your progress and start to identify your values in life.

Things don’t always have to feel this hard! By using CBT with a trained therapist you will start to create distance with your thoughts. You will start to slow down and recognize you do have a choice in how you engage with your thoughts. Learning how to tolerate discomfort, accept its presence and move forward with it there, is a skill you can master. Not only will you change your relationship with your thoughts, but also your emotions.

You wont let anxiety stop you from doing the things you want to anymore. You will build confidence within yourself and what you are capable of tolerating. Each emotion you feel regardless of its intensity, you will remember it will pass and it isn’t dangerous. You would be surprised of how things change when we no longer try to avoid emotions.

Trained Experts For What You Need

I have been working extensively with OCD and Anxiety related disorders for the past 5 years. Previously, I worked at an Intensive Outpatient Program where I worked exclusively with the most severe and acute cases of OCD, Anxiety, Phobias, Social Anxiety, and Body Focused Repetitive Disorders. I learned how to navigate complex cases, and meet my clients where they are at, while still challenging them outside of their comfort zone. I have seen my clients get their lives back, feel confident, and no longer feel fear in each decision they make.

Your commitment to your quality of life is crucial. Through reducing avoidance and engaging with your thoughts and emotions in a new way, you get to choose what comes next. Not fear. Working with a specialist with help give you the confidence and hope you need until you have it for yourself.

Break free from feeling stuck

You can do hard things the more you practice living the life you want. You will start to feel more flexibility in your thought process when you understand you are not your thoughts. Fear can transform into courage with the right skill set and understanding. The goal wont be to get rid of Anxiety, but to change your relationship with it.You do need anxiety in your life to protect you, you don't need it in every decision you make.

But Maybe You Still Have Concerns That May Sound Like This…

  • That’s a really understandable fear. Let’s pause and notice that thought together—it’s a what if, not a prediction. And just as gently, we can make space for another possibility: what if things do get better?

Change is possible. When you’re willing to slowly build tolerance for discomfort, your relationship with anxiety can begin to shift. Over time, things can feel lighter, more manageable, and your life can open up in ways that may feel hard to imagine right now.

  • That’s completely understandable. Not every therapist will be the right fit, and that doesn’t mean therapy can’t work for you. Finding the right support, especially for anxiety, often means looking beyond traditional talk therapy. When considering a new therapist, it can help to think about their training and experience, how safe and comfortable you feel with them, the location of their practice, and whether their availability works for you. You deserve to choose someone who feels like a good fit. A past experience doesn’t have to define what’s possible moving forward. Support that meets your needs is still out there!

  • You’re not alone in feeling this way. Many people struggle with trust, and that’s completely understandable. Building trust is part of the therapeutic process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. You get to decide when and how much you share, and I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.

You Can Have The Life You Want

As an anxiety specialist with lived experience, I’m able to understand my clients’ fears on a deeper level. I’ve been there. I know how overwhelming anxiety can feel, and I also know that it’s possible to get your life back and rediscover who you are without anxiety running the show.

I’ve worked with many clients who have taken their lives back one step at a time. From avoiding going out in public to starting to run errands alone. From fear of embarrassment or negative evaluation to seeing clients have a new increase in confidence where they won’t think twice about meeting new people. It is possible to not overthink every interaction or encounter.

This work is about creating lasting change. It’s not a quick fix or a one-time solution–it’s a shift in mindset and skills that build resilience over time. Based on the progress I’ve seen with the clients I’ve supported, I truly believe change is possible for you too. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more confident, capable, and free to live the life you want.
